CLAIMS PROCEDURE
FAU provides fast and professional claims service in your time of need. From start to finish, your claim representative is there to take care of your needs and concerns. Attending to any questions you may have and providing constant updates on your claims progress.
Follow these easy steps to submit your claim(s):
1. NOTIFY THE POLICE:
This must be done in cases where theft, hijack or a road accident has occurred. We will require the SAPS case number (reference number) to process the claim further.
2. NOTIFY US:
Call the claims department on 011 760 3800 or send an email to claims@fauinsurance.co.za within 24 hours after the loss has occurred. We understand immediate notification is not always possible, in instances like this, please ensure we are notified within 30 days of the event.
3. SUBMITTING DOCUMENTS:
Documents required will depend on what loss you have suffered. Your claims handler will advise you on this step.
4. CLAIM PROCESS:
Your claims handler will keep you updated on each stage of the claims process.
